While we specifically stopped here because there was a restaurant and we could tie up to the dock, our plans were modified a bit by the fire and flood!
When we tied up to the dock and wandered up to the restaurant, we didn't see any activity. When we went around to street-side, we saw the sign that they would be "re-opening soon".
So we walked into the town or Hardin and found a local tavern that had a barmaid/cook and no other patrons. When asked what kind of beer we wanted with our burgers, we recited a list of acceptable beers and were told that "we don't sell any of those fancy beers around here". It turns out that they actually only had three varieties and I chose the least offensive: Michelob. I couldn't stomach the possibility of Bud Light or Miller Light!
Word of advice to Captain John: When there is nobody in a restaurant in a very sleepy small town, don't ever, ever order "The Special"!
Our trip the following day was short as we planned on staying at Grafton for a few days.
